About

I was raised in a metal foundry in West Oakland.

Acting turned out to be my art form, and I started working in the San Francisco Bay Area, went to college in San Diego, and got my MFA in Acting at Harvard and the Moscow Art Theatre School (MXAT). I have settled for the foreseeable future in Tongva Land, with my delightful husband (but no dog).
I've been especially lucky to have a career shaped by new works. Starting in high school developing new plays at the American Conservatory Theater, I fell in love with new play development, and I've been able to follow that interest for a lot of my career. New works lend themselves particularly well to collaborative processes, but I like any environment - new work or not - where we play well with others.
Still no dog, though.

My work as an Acting Company Member at Native Voices at the Autry - as well as a member of the core Artistic team at the theater for 5+ years as Literary Manager - has been a particular highlight of my life personally and professionally. I am a descendant of the Chickasaw and Cherokee Nations, and it is an honor to play a role in cultivating stories from American Indian communities and to contribute to our community's voice and increasing prominence in the American Theatre.
