About

Raised in the Bay Area, Katie grew up on a mountaintop and in a metal foundry.

She started acting in the San Francisco Bay Area, went college in San Diego, and got her MFA in Acting at Harvard and the Moscow Art Theatre School.

Since graduating, Katie has been particularly lucky to get to work on a number of new works (her favorite material) as an actor, director, dramaturge, and producer not only on Tongva Land ("L.A."), but throughout the country.

Her work as a Company Member at Native Voices at the Autry - as well as a member of the core Artistic team at the theater for 5+ years - has been a particular highlight for her personally and professionally. She is a descendant of the Chickasaw and Cherokee Nations, and it is an honor to play a role in cultivating stories from American Indian communities, contribute to her community's voice in the American Theatre, and to share in this cultural moment creatively and personally.

In addition to acting, Katie teaches, writes, and directs.

At the risk of sounding too accomplished, she wants you to know that she is the only person alive actaully did forget how to ride a bike.

Oops. That was another brag. She SURE IS one of a kind.
